When Donatienne, a Belgian national living in Balham the last thirty years came to us, she was downsizing from the large family house she had bought her family up in. Widely travelled with an array of eclective objets d’art and curios collected on these journeys she had a very specific idea not only about the way she wanted her kitchen to look but the way in which it needed to work too. Dominating the kitchen diner was a huge mahogany dresser with Middle Eastern influences and her love of Moorish art meant that the kitchen would need to compliment these styles. When Donatienne came across our Linear Clay Collection tiles she fell in love! She had found the perfect match. Not only did they provide an eye catching focal point as a splash back behind her oven but she merged the inside with the out by paving her patio with the iconic tiles too. The rest evolved naturally around these elements. AlnoStar white cupboards provided the perfect backdrop to her many beautiful things. A boiling water tap by Quooker, extra draws in the tall units, a raised dishwasher and wide counters all helped to give Donatienne her dream kitchen.
